Looking for my Frog Prince

Well…I am not going to keep you in suspense fo long…I didn’t find my Frog Prince…But I still think he will arrive when I least expect it (on his white horse of course…). Anyways, I am not going to write about frog princes, soul mates, prince charming, or whatever. I will leave this for later (or never). I would like to write about a sentence that has always been my driver:

“Everything happens for a reason”

I know this can sound a bit (or even a lot) cliché. But I really don’t care.

First let me explain why I am talking about this now. It’s not because it’s the end of 2017 and I am all emotional and stuff. It’s because 2018 will be an important year for me, full of new adventures, a new start, even a new life. Indeed I will move in January to Milano where I will start my new first official job in an awesome company focused on Advertising, Branding, Communication, Marketing, and soooo much more !!! (Yes I am super excited)

And when I think about it now, I can say it: “Everything happens for a reason”! Let me tell you the reasons why…

First, some may know that I kind of randomly decided to spend one month in Bologna to improve my Italian in April this year…well that was very useful as I will have to use my Italian quite a lot now.

Second, long story short, when I booked my flight back home from NYC in August, I made a mistake and ended up with an additional round trip flight ticket Geneva-NYC (yeah…clever me) BUT…That’s how I decided to go back to NYC in October.

Then, while I was helping my friend for Les Cartons du Coeur in Lausanne (btw, it’s an awesome association helping the ones in need in Switzerland, they are doing an amazing job and they always need more hands if you have some time for them), I randomly met Jim working at Medair (a humanitarian association helping populations who are suffering in remote and devastated communities around the world) and decided to volunteer there for 2 months.

Finally, after having explained my willingness to work in NYC to Jim, he kindly put me in contact with some friends in New York. I had the pleasure to meet some of them while I was in New York in October. Thanks to one of these contacts, I was connected to the founder of the agency I will be working for in Milano.

See!?! How everything happened for a reason here. Thanks to random events and new people entering my life, I have now a whole new adventure waiting for me in 2018 and I am so so so excited about it.

And I promise, I will keep posting and even try to post more on the blog (This is my new year resolution). After all Milan is the city of fashion so I will definitely have a lot to post about 😉
