31 May The Swiss Brunette in the City
It is crystal clear now! The Swiss Brunette was born to live in a city! A dynamic, crowded, and thrilling city!
Even if I can completely understand that people may find the noise, lights, and pace of a big city exhausting, I find it relaxing, energising, and motivating in every way.
I have been in NYC for 10 days now and I am still this weird girl smiling for nothing in the street amongst stressed and cranky people only because I am thinking about the chance I have to finally live my American Dream in the Big Apple.
My smile is not that weird, I can explain…I am the kind of girls who need constant movement, speed, actions, and this is exactly the characteristics of big cities such as New York. I have to say that Lausanne, my hometown, is not that bad and things are becoming better, moving faster.
Fashion for instance has been evolving a lot for the past years in Lausanne. Many new shops, brands, designers, and most importantly more and more people not afraid anymore to show their personality and style out there without caring about others’ opinion.
THIS is what I love ! And here, in NYC, it’s all about that!
You may have seen in my last article a few examples of the many cute and diverse shops that you already can find in one part of New York. Well in New York I would totally say that:
“Everyday is a fashion show and the world is the runway”
New York city is for sure one of the “capitales de la mode” and you can definitely see it whether in the streets, on the most stylish rooftops of the city, in the small cafés, parks, markets or basically anywhere.
It is a constant pleasure for the eyes of a fashionista, new ideas, inspiration, discovery, and new items to put on the “to buy list”, but at the same time a complete desperation for her bank account indeed…but who cares, this fabulous, fashionable, much-awaited piece of clothing is always priceless !
I think that I will never get bored or I will never stop being amazed by the beautiful lights and vibes of a big city such as New York and I am very glad that some parts of my hometown have this rebellious streak as well that will always make me feel at home.
